Do you need to do a heat loss survey and is it really free?

Yes, it is free.

A heat loss survey allows us to accurately measure your house using LiDAR technology, to assess the house size, thickness of walls, types of windows, doors, radiators, and level of insulation already in place.

This will tell us how much heat your home will need on the coldest Scottish day.

This then allows us to make sure you get the right size of heat pump, and design your heating system so that it is just right - not too hot, not too cold.

What does the heat loss survey entail?

A LiDAR survey creates an accurate measurement of the make up of your home.

Our surveyor will scan each room in your home using a LiDAR scanner. This will calculate the level of heat required in each room when the outside temperature is -3 degrees.

It captures things like the size of your windows, number of external walls and doors, and takes account of the type of construction of your house.

This tech helps size your heat pump correctly (less guess work) - faster and more accurate.

The purpose is calculate a reliable heat loss for your house, so that the heat pump and radiators are sized just right. Not too hot, and not to cold.
