Data We Collect
Location Data: Used to organize trips by geography and display on maps. Stored locally on your device.
Photos: Used for AI caption generation and trip documentation. Stored locally unless you enable future cloud features.
Journal Entries: Your written memories and notes. Stored locally on your device.
Usage Analytics: Anonymous app performance data via Apple Analytics. Cannot identify you personally.
Data Sharing
AI Processing: When using AI features, photo data is sent to Anthropic (Claude AI) for caption generation. Anthropic does not retain your data after processing.
No Data Sales: We never sell your personal information to third parties.
No Advertising: We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Data Security
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems. Network communications use encryption. We follow industry best practices for data protection.
Your Controls
Delete Photos: Remove any photo from your trips at any time.
Delete Trips: Remove entire trips and all associated data.
Delete Account: Request complete data deletion via Profile settings or by emailing [email protected].
Export Data: Export your trip data for personal backup.
Age Requirements
Pathiary is designed for users age 13 and older in compliance with COPPA regulations.
