How to add Google Adsense to your site?

Mixo makes it easy for you to integrate AdSense into your sites. You can add your AdSense ID to your site and we will automatically add the AdSense code to your site.

First, get your AdSense ID

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Ads.
  3. Click Get code.
  4. Copy ONLY the AdSense ID from the code snippet (not the whole code snippet). It will look something like this: ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

For example, you may see something like this as your AdSense code snippet, and you need to copy the ca-pub-1234567890123456 part (this is just an example, don’t use this ID):

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-1234567890123456" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

Add the AdSense Add ID to your Mixo site

  1. Go to your site’s dashboard
  2. Click on the Sites Settings
  3. Click on the Integrations tab
  4. Under Google Adsense, enter the AdSense ID you copied earlier in the AdSense ID field.
  5. Click on the Save button. Remember to publish your site to see the changes.

Verify site ownership (on Google AdSense)

When setting up the site on Google AdSense, you will need to verify that you own the site. You can do this using the Meta tag method. Mixo makes it easy for you by automatically injecting the meta tag into the header when you publish your changes. If it is not working, check the following:

  1. Make sure you have non-www redirecting working (since Google verifies your root domain only). If you are having trouble with this, read this article.
  2. Check that the AdSense ID is correct.
  3. Check that you have Published your site (since adding the AdSense ID)
  4. Check that you have not turned on your cookie consent modal yet (if you have, turn it off, publish and try again). You can turn this back on after you have verified your site.
