Generating 5 articles at once (Business plan)

Each bulk run produces 5 article drafts.

If you’re on the free plan, the button reads “Free first run” in green if you’re still eligible. After your kickstart, you’ll see an upgrade prompt when you click the button.

Where to find it

From the section listing page header — click the dropdown arrow next to “New Article” → “Generate multiple articles”.
Or click the “Bulk create a month of articles” promo card if it’s showing on your dashboard or listing page.

Step 1: Enter a theme

Type a broad topic area or a specific angle. The theme is the common thread for all 5 articles — they’ll all be variations on this starting point.

Specific = coherent, usable articles. Vague = generic, hard-to-differentiate articles.

Examples:

❌ Too vague: “plumbing”
✅ Good: “boiler problems landlords face in winter”
✅ Good: “kitchen extension projects in north London”
✅ Good: “financial planning for small business owners approaching retirement”

You can also click any of the suggested topic rows above the text field instead of typing — these are pre-generated suggestions from your site’s AI, with search-volume estimates on the top two highest-demand topics. See Using AI topic suggestions for more.

When ready, click Let’s go.

Step 2: Review and edit the 5 titles

After entering a theme, the AI returns 5 article title suggestions. Each row has:

An editable title — click to type into it directly.
A “New title” button — regenerate just that one without affecting the others.

Edit the titles before generating. The title is the single biggest influence on what the AI writes. A better title = a better article. Spend 2–3 minutes tweaking them — it’s worth it.

If a title doesn’t quite fit, click New title for a fresh suggestion in just that slot. The other 4 stay exactly as they are.

Step 3: Click “Generate all 5”

All 5 articles are written simultaneously and saved as drafts. None are published automatically.

Back on the listing page, each card shows a pulsing “Writing…” state. Generation runs in parallel — you don’t wait for each one sequentially. Typically all 5 are done within 30–60 seconds.

If one fails

If one of the five fails, just that card shows “Generation failed” in red. The other 4 are unaffected.

Click Retry on the failed card to re-generate that one article on its own. You don’t lose your bulk run quota — only the failed article retries.

Article length in bulk mode

Articles generated in bulk use the section’s default length setting:

Free plan: short (~500 words)
Paid plans: medium (~900 words)

If you want a specific article to be long, generate it individually using the single-article generator where you can choose the length per article.

Suggested workflow after generating

Once you’ve got your 5 drafts, here’s a way to make the most of them:

Review all 5 quickly. Pick the 2 or 3 that are strongest or most relevant to your current priorities.
Edit and publish those first. Don’t publish all 5 on the same day — spacing them out over a few weeks gives Google more reason to keep coming back to your site.
Leave the others as drafts and polish them over the coming days.

This approach turns one bulk session into 4–5 weeks of regular content — without rushing the editing.

Free plan and the kickstart

The free kickstart run lets you experience bulk generation once without upgrading. After that, bulk generation requires a Business or Premium plan.

A few things to know:

The kickstart is per site, not per account. If you have multiple sites, each gets its own free run.
The 5 drafts you generate from the kickstart still count against your 3-article publish limit when you try to publish them. The kickstart removes the bulk-generation gate, not the publish gate.
After the kickstart is used, the button shows the upgrade prompt instead.

Business plan monthly limit

3 bulk runs per month, resetting on the 1st of each calendar month. If you’ve used all 3 and need more, either wait for the reset or upgrade to Premium for unlimited runs.

Tips for getting the most from bulk

Use it for focused campaigns. “5 articles about kitchen extensions” gives you a coherent series. “5 articles about anything” gives you a scattered draft library.
Treat the titles as drafts. The AI’s first 5 are a starting point — your edits before clicking Generate make the bigger difference.
Combine with manual articles. Bulk for breadth, single-article generator for depth on important topics where you want long format and detailed Notes.
